About PrairieBidsBot
PrairieBidsBot is the crawler that reads public bid and procurement pages for Prairie Bids, a private bid-alert service for contractors in central Illinois.
- It reads only public listing pages, about once a day per site.
- It obeys
robots.txt, includingCrawl-delay, and waits several seconds between requests to the same site. - It never logs in, submits forms, or downloads plan documents. It records the title, dates and a link back to your posting.
To block it, add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: PrairieBidsBot Disallow: /
